Description: 2MDC5 Mirror Star Diagonal for SCT
The primary feature of this 2" Antares mirror diagonal is that the internal mirror can be adjusted to collimate the optical path on Schmidt-Cassegrain Telescopes (SCT). Collimation is performed with the three collimation nuts on the back of the diagonal. Constant tension is provided with spring load against the back of the diagonal mirror backing plate, no forces are transmitted to the diagonal mirror. This 2.0" mirror diagonal provides exceptional value for an upgrade to the stock diagonals provided with many commercially available SCT telescopes. The machined solid aluminum housing provides a stable platform for the mounting barrel and eyepiece holder. The eyepiece holder is machined from aluminum and is black anodized for a durable finish. The mounting barrel is made of brass and is chrome plated. This diagonal accepts 1.25" and 2.0" eyepieces and fits a 2.0" telescope focuser.
