Description: FOC2C Crayford Focuser This Crayford focuser is a great option when the ATMer is considering the design of a Newtonian type telescope or as a replacement for the standard focuser on regular production telescopes. The primary feature of this focuser is the smooth action of the Crayford focuser design. Precision, low friction bearings guide the barrel of the focuser through the length of travel eliminating any shift in the image when focusing. This focuser is useful for visual observing as well as for CCD astrophotography. Eyepiece Usage: 2" & 1.25" Adapter Focuser Travel: 1.35" (34mm) Travel per Revolution of Focuser Knob: 0.5" (13mm) Travel per Rev. of Micro-Focuser Knob: 0.05" (1.3mm) Racked-in Length Overall: 3.25" (83mm) Racked-out Length Overall: 4.6" (117mm) Base Dimensions: Across Tube: 3.54" (90mm) Along Length of Tube: 3.54" (90mm) Mounting Hole Spacing: Across Tube: 2.9" (74mm) Along Length of Tube: 2.75" (70mm) Mounting Hole Clearance Hole Diameter: 0.187" (4.75mm) Radius of base: 3.94" (100mm) Weight: 1.4 lbs. (0.64kg) Materials: Anodized machined aluminum body (black), anodized machined aluminum base (black), machined aluminum draw tube, aluminum knobs, stainless steel hardware. Other features: 1.25" and 2" barrels have brass compression ring. Adjustable tension for focusing. Focuser lock holds focuser in position. Made in Taiwan Installation: Remove adapter plate from the focuser assenbly by loosening two 5/64" set screws and pulling the adapter off the focuser body. Attach adapter plate to telescope optical tube with the four mounting holes (mounting screws not included.) Align focuser to telescope and slide focuser body into the adapter plate and verify the focuser body is fully seated. Tighten the two set screws to secure the focuser body to the adapter plate. |
