This Crayford focuser has been re-engineered to provide an extended range of travel of 68mm with the low profile design that is only 60mm tall. Fully racked-in, the bottom end of the draw tube protrudes only 5mm down from the mounting surface. If the thickness of the optical tube is 5mm or greater, the end of the draw tube will never block any of the incoming light of the telescope.

This is a great option when the ATMer is considering the design of a Newtonian type telescope or as a replacement for the standard focuser on regular production telescopes. The primary feature of this focuser is the low profile feature that puts the eyepiece closer to the secondary mirror and permits the use of a smaller secondary mirror. The smaller the secondary mirror, the smaller the obstruction of the primary mirror.

The great feature of this focuser is the slip draw tube that permits quick rough focus, the standard focus knob and then the 10:1 Micro-Adjust focus knob providing a fine tuned focus for visual observing and is especially useful for CCD astrophotography.
